Praveena & Francis: Couple’s Photoshoot and Proposal

Embark on a magical journey as we delve into the captivating story of Praveena and Francis. Arrived from Singapore, they traveled to New York City with a dream of capturing their love amidst the iconic landmarks of the Big Apple. The couple shared their vision through a mood board, filled with images of DUMBO, the Flatiron Building, bustling city streets, and more.

With their desires in mind, I suggested several locations, but the spotlight was on a photo route that encompassed DUMBO and Madison Square Garden. These locations perfectly aligned with Praveena and Francis’s vision, and they were thrilled with this choice. We arranged to meet at a spot with a stunning view of the Brooklyn Bridge.

However, a few hours before the photoshoot, Francis sent me a message that caught me by surprise. He revealed his plan to propose to Praveena during the session! Although I hadn’t anticipated this, Francis had masterfully kept it a secret from everyone. I quickly shared photos of potential proposal spots, and he chose the original meeting spot we had discussed with both of them.

Meeting time, Praveena and Francis arrived. I began by taking a few photos of them before subtly positioning them, ensuring Praveena stood behind Francis. Because sun shining brightly, I requested that they close their eyes until I gave the signal, so they wouldn’t squint from the sunlight. At that moment, Francis got down on one knee, revealing a ring and asking the question that would change their lives forever. And she said"Yes!”

After the proposal, we continued the photoshoot as planned. From the picturesque streets of DUMBO, we made our way to Madison Square Park. Praveena had requested a warmer and slightly cinematic editing style, which I easily did using the references she had shared during the planning stage.
